Cozy November Diffuser Blends with Young Living for Pumpkin Spice and Apple Pie Vibes

Scents of November bring back some of my fondest memories from childhood. It smells like cinnamon on the stovetop, orange peels in a slow simmer, fresh pie cooling on the counter, and a home that feels ready for people to gather. For me, November smells like family and joy. I try to create similar scent memories for my children too.

A simple seasonal setup makes November blends feel extra cozy.

That is exactly what a good diffuser blend can bring to your home. With the right Young Living essential oils, you can create pumpkin spice, apple pie, crisp orchard, and cozy gathering scents without lighting a candle (fire hazard for little hands) or baking a dessert from scratch (I definitely don't have the time for that every day!)

Use these daily diffuser blends all month long to bring a little calm to your crazy mornings, or festive vibes to Thanksgiving prep or to create a cozy moment under a blanket, after the kids are finally in bed.

A Few Tips Before You Start Diffusing

Most of these blends use 3 to 6 total drops, which works well for many standard home diffusers. If your diffuser is large, you can add a little more. If you have a small room, pets, or scent-sensitive guests, start with fewer drops.

Pro Tip: A little goes a long way ~ there's no need to waste money by using more drops than necessary.

A few helpful notes:

  • Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Nutmeg, and Ginger are strong. One drop is often plenty.

  • Orange, Lemon, Bergamot, and Tangerine brighten heavier spice oils.

  • Cedarwood, Northern Lights Black Spruce, and Frankincense add a soft, grounded feeling.

  • Stress Away, Christmas Spirit, Joy, and Peace & Calming help give blends a finished, homey scent.

For gatherings, start diffusing about 20 to 30 minutes before guests arrive. That gives the room enough time to smell inviting!

Pumpkin Spice Blends that Smell Bakery-Warm

I love Pumpkin spice everything! But there scents usually need three parts: sweet citrus, soft spice, and a cozy base. Orange pairs beautifully with Cinnamon Bark and Nutmeg because it keeps the blend from smelling too heavy. Vanilla oleoresin adds that smooth, dessert-like note that makes a room smell like something is in the oven.

Try this simple pumpkin spice formula when you want to make your own:

  • 2 to 3 drops Orange

  • 1 drop Cinnamon Bark

  • 1 drop Nutmeg or Ginger

  • 1 drop Vanilla oleoresin or Stress Away

If you want it bolder, use Clove. If you want it softer, use Cedarwood.

Apple Pie Blends that Feel Bright and Nostalgic

Apple pie is a little different from pumpkin spice. It needs a cleaner, fruitier top note. Lemon and Bergamot help create that crisp apple impression, even though neither oil smells exactly like apple on its own.

For an easy apple pie mood, combine:

  • 3 drops Lemon

  • 1 to 2 drops Cinnamon Bark

  • 1 drop Clove

  • 1 drop Vanilla oleoresin or Stress Away

This blend works especially well in the kitchen, dining room, or entryway. It smells sweet, familiar, and welcoming without being sugary.

Blends for a Warm and Inviting Gathering Atmosphere

For dinners, family visits, or slow Sunday afternoons, choose oils that feel calm and grounded. Citrus opens the room. Woods and resins give it depth. Gentle spice adds seasonal character.

A beautiful gathering blend is:

  • 3 drops Orange

  • 2 drops Frankincense

  • 1 drop Cedarwood

  • 1 drop Cinnamon Bark

It gives a sense of gratitude, warm conversation, and comfort without smelling too much like dessert. For a softer version, swap Cinnamon Bark for Peace & Calming. For a more festive scent, swap Cedarwood for Christmas Spirit.

The best November blends do not need to be complicated. Pick one bright oil, one cozy oil, and one spice oil. Keep the drop count light, let the diffuser run before the room fills, and adjust as needed.
